She does get to kick some later, though The Hero has to do a lot of the work too.

The comparison with John Ringo's Ghost series only holds with respect to the fact that in both cases the work (A) took over the author's brain and demanded to be written... Or Else, and (B) the author was, for various reasons, embarrassed by the work in question.

However, Ghost was, clearly, a very salable work. It's a super-Military Mary Sue adventure with all the worst qualities that the target audience really enjoys. Polychrome would seem to have a very limited target audience.

It actually *IS* finished, as is Fall of Saints, the other one I snippeted. I finished both of those novels within a week or two of each other.
