By the ballot you mean being a "Hugo Nominee"? Yeah, it is, and I don't really expect to ever hit that level. However, it would be professionally stupid for me to not at least make sure my fans remembered they COULD nominate me. :)

Even if I did get on the ballot, I'll be up against people like Charlie (he's had two novels out this year) and Bujold; winning wouldn't be in the picture.
