I didn't HATE it, but despite having a few really great (to me) moments, it just didn't ... oh, what's the term... *POP* for me. Partly it was that I'd seen that particular story done very, very well at least twice before, the first one by Keith Laumer (A Plague of Demons) and later on a similar riff by Dean Koontz (Twilight Eyes).
But I didn't dislike it nearly as much as my least-favorite Who stories -- Midnight, the two Angel stories, and Family of Blood. It had some moments I REALLY liked in it, which wasn't really true of the others.
