The lack of sequels by Schmitz is worse than you think. According to something I read decades back he was quite a ways into a sequel, but the manuscript got lost during a move and he could bring himself to redo all that work (an attitude I completely understand, having had a chapter of something eaten by a conflict between synch software and versions on two different machines)

Of his other books, I enjoyed the Telzey stories the most, best of a great group.
