An interesting statistic...

(also posted on FB)

Here's an interesting statistic -- possibly one that will not happen to me again!

In the space of six months, I will have FOUR new books come out:

_Polychrome_ (self-published Oz novel, scheduled for November)
_Paradigms Lost_ (vastly expanded and revised _Digital Knight_) in December
_Castaway Planet_ (New Boundaryverse novel set ~200 years later) in February,
and
_Phoenix in Shadow_ (second book in the Balanced Sword trilogy) in May.

That's probably nothing for the big boys, but it's pretty stunning to me.

It's only common in romance, where a hiccup in publishing schedules plus having an author with multiple series means that you can run into weird situations -- I think Grace Burrowes will have eight books out this year.

In SF, the last time I heard of a situation like this was Charlie Stross's 2004, in which _The Atrocity Archive_ and _The Family Trade_ and _Iron Sunrise_ all came off the presses.

So: awesome!
