Any Persona4 Players here?

I've just finished my first time through the game, so I've got the ability to start the game with some advantages gained during that first run-through -- I don't recall what they call that, I always call it "New Game +" ever since Chrono Trigger.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure my first time through I didn't get a "real" ending for the game, and before I spend more hours working through the game again I just want to confirm that there is another ending worth working towards. The one I got basically ended quietly -- a little girl came back to life, there were still some wierd things going on that we didn't continue investigating because the game basically forced you to fast-forward like 3-4 months and then you get a quiet little "goodbye" FMV and then credits roll.

So am I right that there's another more spectacular ending to P4? I don't want to know what the other ending IS, mind you, just whether there is one worth playing through again.

Checking gamefaqs: "Secret Boss : If you saw the true ending on your first playthrough. ... " looks like there's a "normal" and "true" ending. And the true is a royal... And it looks like 2 things are unlocked if you got the "true" ending on your first time through.

So I have to get the true ending on the first playthrough to get the good stuff? Hmm. I may have to try to find out how to get the true ending in first playthrough... preferably without finding out too many other things ahead of time. I don't like being spoilered.

Of course, it depends on what's unlocked. If it's just another Big Battle, I don't care, or if it's just things like "pretty picture gallery" I don't care, but if it's more cool character interaction and a new cool ending, THEN I care.

I haven't gotten to P4 yet. I'm still working through P3FES. I'm close to what I think is the end-game for The Journey. The Answer is next then P4.

My understanding is that there are two final branches in P4 depending on some choices you make. That isn't quite what I consider multiple endings. That's because of the original Persona which has 3 different story paths through the game, not just 3 different endings, depending on which characters you recruit or don't (unlocking the "best" ending requires playing through much of the game down 1 character).

Must complete P3FES... then finish my X/X-2 marathon... then get DQV DS... then maybe I'll have time to play P4 :)
