Gabriel and Surgery
Sep. 21st, 2004 10:11 amThe little guy went in for surgery to repair his left elbow yesterday. Kathleen and I were there at the beginning; Kathy had to go home to be there when Chris arrived before Gaby was out of the initial recovery. He was very scared in the actual OR, and was unhappy when waking up, but today he seems much better, though in pain. With three metal pins through his arm, that isn't surprising.
Update: Thanks to all of you for your well-wishes. What happened to him was sorta-described in the prior entry. His elbow was split/broken by falling across a broom handle. The arm will be put in a cast this Tuesday, and the pins will be pulled out I guess a month later. Assuming it has healed properly.
