Well, as I said, I hope you can find a publisher for it, because the start is good, and does remind me a lot of that old Baum feel. I may have to re-read some of the old books at some point just to remember them, though I don't know how well they'll read for me these days.

Thanks for all the replies too, I still find it weird that a published author is willing to chat like this. Cool though. :)
