New Book Completed!
Feb. 11th, 2008 08:52 pmLast night, I finished Grand Central Arena, which my beta-readers have been saying is the best thing I've written. I would tend to agree.
Grand Central Arena has also become very special to me in that it became clear that I could do something I'd always wanted to do: salute in story the one man who showed me the most pure, distilled form of sensawunda... E.E. "Doc" Smith.
GCA is my attempt to begin a modern version of a Smithian space opera. I've created a universe I could spend decades in, if anyone else likes it enough to let me do so.
In honor of completing the story, I now post the first chapter of Grand Central Arena.
( Grand Central Arena: Chapter 1 )
