Gods know I can't object to using pieces of the classics, or even doing interesting mash-ups of them; I've done GCA, and I'm writing a part of GCA which shows how the Hyperion Project really used the Doc Smith material to MAKE DuQuesne. And I've written Polychrome. . But reBOOTING Little Fuzzy? That's perilously close to blasphemy, I can't help but feel.

The estate has agreed to allow him to do it, and Scalzi is certainly a very capable writer, but... I dunno. It's like someone trying to do a reboot/retelling of the Lensman series. There isn't an author living with the jets to swing that load, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the idea..
