... with possible flare-up of diverticulitis.

Not what I wanted for the beginning of my vacation.

Update...

... it appears to be just really bad tension (I had many reasons to be very tense most of this week, the last of those reasons only ending around noon today) causing both my muscles and my gut to misbehave. No sign of actual diverticulitis in my CT scan.

  So we may be starting later than originally planned (since I couldn't do the packing I planned on this evening), but we will be going. :)
