I am disturbed by this question, as it says "bookshelf". Singular.

I would have to know which of the dozens of bookshelves they were looking at.

Heh, same here. My wife and I have this vague dream of adding a second story to the house so that we can have one room with bookshelves tall enough to justify a rolling ladder. :)

Yeah, it's way too early for most books in one's collection to be in an electronic format. Heck, I'm not sure e-books will ever dominate at my place.

i had this issue too.
so if it was your tallest bookshelf, what would it say? and if you have two that are the same size, go with the one on your right.
