:D No problem, there is a reason I politely declined an superb chance to start my own computer support/consulting business 11 years ago. It was an excellent offer that would have given me an office, support staff and everything for a percent of the gross earning. But I know myself and frankly I didn't and wouldn't want to do the amount of work required to run my own business. I like going to work 8 hours a day and then going home and not worrying about it all.

So I quite understand, I have had the impression that the indie self publishing isn't quite as work free as those pushing it want to make it. And in that case a situation where the traditional approach works is all to the good then. :)

For those who don't mind the extra work it does look like a good way to go. Essentially a lower overhead self employment path.

Oh and I hadn't realized Tor still had Polychrome so I'll continue to wish you good luck with that because frankly I want to read the paper version of that. :D

And yes I am one who has stated that the editorial services provided by traditional publishers is invaluable. Because an editor can suggest changes to improve the final work over what the author creates. Very few authors produce flawless prose that doesn't need at least some tweaking to improve it.
