Crippled, Day 2, and Reprimanding my Lieutenant

Despite anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, and spending yesterday almost entirely in bed (aside from bathroom visits) I am not really noticeably better. Barring a miracle today/tonight, I guess it'll be to the hospital tomorrow and I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do about work; I cannot go there, sitting is almost as bad as standing with this. If only I was a Flint or Weber level author; then I could be grumbling about the pain, but my main breadwinning function would not be potentially impaired. (what does Workman's Comp cover, anyway?)

Now, with respect to my Loyal Lieutenant: I am... disappointed, Shana. I'm not angry, no, just... hurt. Terribly hurt. You, of all people. How could you do this -- or rather, how could you NOT do this? I am referring, of course, to reviewing my work on Amazon, one of the obvious first places for publicity on these writings. Yet I see none with your name. OTHER people have reviewed both DK and Mountain Magic/Diamonds, how could you not have done so??

I hereby direct that you remedy this error at once. :)

well, you (sort of) asked...

I was just going to say that if you go to the doctor, you may need to find out who the workman's compensation insurance company is because that visit would be covered by that insurance rather than your regular one.

I know what *my* employer covers, but that's my employer, in Minnesota, and will be completely different from yours in New York.

Workman's comp should cover any injury sustained while at work. I tripped in a stairwell at work, dislocated my shoulder and I was covered. *shrug* I assume you let your supervisor know you were injured when it happened. I would think your next step is to go up the ladder and/or go to the person who handles and processes worker's comp to let them know you are still in pain and are going to the hospital to get it examined.

She was busy whipping the minions and orchestrating the screaming of the damned?

Apologies

I gave up trying to post reviews on Amazon after my first half-dozen attempts crashed.

I will try again. Probably tomorrow, because I'm wiped today -- my dad is back in the hospital. My brother occupied the hours waiting in the Emergency Room waiting room yesterday reading _Digital Knight_. He's on the third story now. He reads slowly, so I expect he'll finish it tomorrow or Tuesday.

It was some time ago, so I must have been using Netscape then. Crashed may not have been the right word, but my carefully written reviews disappeared, and I gave up in disgust. Since I'm sure they've changed there servers in the meantime, and I've changed browsers, [Mozilla at home, Explorer at work] I'll try again.

Hey,
We don't chat much, barely ever respond to your posts on rec.games.frp._____ but, take care of yourself and get better. Oh, and belated congrats on that ten year thing. Imagine that, finding someone who could stand you for that long. Just kidding. I'm terribly envious.
