(and p.s. -- are there likely to be any significant changes between eARC and book, or if there are story-relevant changes, will you be able to let people know? I'll buy both--because any series I care about enough to get an eARC for is one for which I want to own the book--but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Grammar and spelling and typos, all the normal ARC stuff, I can handle.)

I wouldn't expect major changes; I don't think I've yet HAD major changes between E-Arc and actual release, just tweaks, occasional clarifications, etc.

I couldn't resist, and so spent my morning reading. I'm glad I took the day off work, as I'd have trouble concentrating if I had to put the book down. You've written a very worthy sequel, and I'll certainly be recommending it to people when they can get the finished copy in November. I love the epic scale of this universe, and though I'm ignorant of the stories he's based on, love Wu as a character. Well done!

Thanks! There is a considerable fear in me that I'll fail to deliver a worthy sequel, and there's quite a distance to go before I reach the climax of the series -- it's too BIG for me to do in, say, a trilogy. At a minimum I'd think it's six books -- the great voyage, which will give them certain key pieces of information, the Molothos War, and if I compress the timescale I could probably do the setup for the grand reveal in book 5 and then do the reveal/climax in book 6, but honestly I think it's more like 8-10 books total.

I hope the books sell well enough for you to get the 8-10 books to tell the story in then, and I'll add you to the list of series to be finished around when my son is in High School. :) (He's 2 1/2 now)
