One minor thing I'll note- everyone had an animal sidekick, and all were solid. Apu, Rajah, Carpet, and Iago.

talking about modern era material while ostensibly living a thousand years ago. Well, he's an all-powerful Genie, so seeing into the future must be child's play to him

Of course, because this is one of the ways geeks entertain themselves, the alternate hypothesis has been floated that the reason Genie remembers the twentieth century is that the movie is set thousands of years in the future (ten thousand years will give you such a crick in the neck...) when geography and culture have changed beyond recognition or memory.

I'd never noticed that before. Neat and ... I'm not sure if it signifies anything, but I like animal sidekicks anyway

Yea. It's a bit of a contrast to most films, where there's usually one sidekick, or maybe two.

They've doubled up before, but, say, Mulan had Mushu and Mushu had the lucky cricket, but the cricket was a barely-there one. Certainly not as many as Aladdin.

All the Aladdin ones also really reflected their partners. Apu helped Aladdin steal, Rajah represented Jasmine's strength and directness, Iago helped scheme, and Carpet, like Genie, liked to help.
