Very, very cool. But being me, I noticed two glaring errors.

Early in the attack, you see an American wearing the shoulder rank of a USAF Chief Master Sergeant, a rank that did not exist until 1959. (The USAF didn't exist until 1947, during WWII the USAAF used Army ranks.)

Also, despite obviously being in the Pacific, and in June 1943, the fighters are P-51Ds bearing the zebra striping of planes used in the D-Day invasion.

Yeah, I'm being me. Still, awesomely cool.

Never mind the nitpicking. That film is hewn from the very living win of the deep win mines in the far win mountains of exotic winistan.

So.. if a bunch of D&D characters traveled the exotic Winistan, raided the deep win mines, and carried away buckets of win, would they get WinXP?

Well, they actually aren't mecha. They don't seem to be human piloted, just giant robots.

I'd beat you for that but you'd like it too much.

I'm watching this right now. Where the hell is Godzilla?

And compared to...

...that the Nazi robot apparently walked across some open ocean?!? That's somehow even more ridiculous than the fact that there was a giant robot in the first place, for me.

Z

P.S.: Although I did (even hippie that I am) think that the USAF didn't exist as a separate branch of service during WWII.

Hey, it's fun. Besides, whenever you try and nitpick one of these things as if they were hard science fiction a catgirl is struck down. Think of the catgirls! Just enjoy them as entertainment!

And hey, did anyone spot the easter egg?

Why do you think the Japanese mech was late?

(OK, I'm a Vulcan, I can't stop myself!) Anyway, Godzilla was awoken from his sleep by US atomic tests in the Pacific, so he's still curled up on Monster Island.

Remember-- Even "Doc" Smith had catgirls.
