I'm looking for a particular waterfall picture. Not particular in the "I saw this exact photo by Photographer X, and must find it", but in the "I know the exact kind of image I want and I can't find it, but I know I've seen something fitting the bill somewhere.

It's of a large waterfall (something in the Niagara class, not one of these charming mountain rivulets), or of what may be SEVERAL waterfalls. Ideally, in fact, it would be three waterfalls coming down into a circular or semicircular basin, one on the left, one center, one on the right, sort of as a confluence of three rivers happening right at the waterfall drop cliff. It could be one of a single waterfall that happens to be wide enough that it's pouring down three sides of such a basin. The shot should be from the lower river level (i.e., in a boat coming upstream looking at the central fall or point of the fall), or at least from the air BELOW the level of the falls rather than shot from the side or above.

I've done a few searches and failed to find what I was looking for.

Something like this? That may have been photoshopped a bit; the plants on the bottom are awfully symmetric (though there are asymmetries on the top half).

A quick suggestion - look for pics of Igazu (sp?) - up there with Niagra and Victoria for the biggest falls in the world. It's split into multiple falls and multiple levels and it's huge. (Remember Indy IV?)

Seconded. (And it's Iguazu.)

Yeah, that's a pretty striking symmetry line up the middle of the image, with the tiny odd exception of the branches at the top. Still pretty, though.

Ooh, yes, or this other image also from Wikipedia's Iguazu article:

(That also one has the walkway in front of the falls, but I think it could be cropped out.)

Popping that into Google images certainly gives a bunch of gorgeous pictures.

Thanks! That's what it sounded like in my head, but I thought it was five letters.

You might be thinking of Gullfoss (Iceland)

Iguazu is in my "places I must go before I die" list, but so is Gullfoss (Gold Falls) in Iceland (if anyone's keeping score, it's included in the "Iceland on Midsummer" and "Iceland at Midwinter" entries).

It's a waterfall of some excellent distinction. Maybe not what you're looking for, but it's still cool.
