For me, only one setting REALLY creeps me out: murky water. I have to resolutely ignore the murkiness when I go to the beach. Even a murky pool is creepy enough that I generally avoid them.

When I was a kid we would go swimming at a local beach that was on a murky lake. There were minnows in the lake that would start to nibble on you if you didn't keep moving.

Terrified of what lurks in the murky water. Almost drowned once, the feel of the branches and slimy hidden deep down, cringe just thinking about it.

Personally, murky water = too damn cold water. Give me a heated, chlorinated swimming pool any day.
