This episode of Doctor Who Doubleplus ungood. First Ungood: River Song. Second Ungood: Weeping Angels GIVEN MUNCHKIN POWERBOOST. Both of them still with huge logical holes, except that MUNCHKIN POWERBOOST probably allows Weeping Angels to cheese their way around any logical hole except "Why haven't they taken over the entire universe long before now?".

Good Doctor (even gets an excellent line), Good Companion (who gets to do something smart), just not good episode.

Worst ungood? Damn thing's a two-parter so we have to put up with this for ANOTHER episode before we can get on with maybe something decent.

What's wrong with River Song? (I forgot who that was, and thought maybe you were complaining about a cast member who was a Disney regular I hadn't heard of, but along the lines of Hilary Duff.)

She's fine if the theory I posted later pans out(i.e., that she is one of the two female Timelords we've previously met -- Romana or The Rani), but otherwise she's this Terribly Important Character that we never met before, whose existence and behavior towards the Doctor is contradictory, and who didn't really show any traits that were necessary for the purposes of a story. She feels to me very much like someone's Mary-Sue insert character -- she doesn't fit, she has no real purpose in the story, she can somehow do things that no OTHER character can do (she corrects the Doctor on the operation of his TARDIS! And she's RIGHT! She can out-argue the Doctor on his home turf! She's able to manipulate the Doctor to do what she wants! This is so Sue-y it's not funny) and the whole thing would be better without her.

Again, if she turns out to be Romana, that would work -- because Romana had EXACTLY that relationship with the Doctor. However, even when introduced, SHE had an excuse: 1) She was ASSIGNED to the Doctor to be his assistant -- not his choice. 2) She was a Timelord, fully trained (albeit young). 3) She had done SPECTACULARLY in her schooling, so she actually knew/memorized more material than the Doctor in many areas. And she and the Doctor DID end up in a relationship just like that.

But for someone we don't know, with no prior background, who -- if she's NOT a Timelord -- would have to have met the Doctor during his 10th incarnation (because she met Doc 10 and expected him to recognize her) and yet his 11th doesn't know her, thus being self-contradictory, overbearing, and terribly Sue-y? No thanks.
