... is simple. I (and my wife Kathleen) have fully-paid Permanent Accounts with all the bells and whistles.

This wasn't cheap, so I'm extremely loath to both abandon the money, and to go to another system as a freebie account user (which would presumably offer less than my current account does).

Nonetheless, LJ is annoying me with its stupidity.

Basically, the add-affiliate-links-to-links-which-don't-already-have-them code is back, and as well as generating revenue for LJ, also has security and privacy risks.

As I understand it, there's a method to mirror your posts from one site to the other automatically. I'm going to start doing that, not as a move from one to the other, but so when the inevitable collapse of LJ happens, I'll have backups for all my stuff.

Then again, LJ has been barely functional for me recently, so I'm measuring it's lifespan in months at this point.
