Odd oven problem...
May. 2nd, 2009 08:12 pmI have a Hotpoint gas stove/oven. Recently, it's taken to behaving oddly when the oven is used. After you turn it off, the "Preheat" and oven lights will suddenly come back on and beep a couple of times. After you try "turning it off" again a few times it eventually stops.
However, in the last few days it's become more than an oddity. Now the oven turns on and preheats -- but it doesn't heat up nearly as much as the thermostat setting says. It gets probably to around 200-250, if I had to guess (it WILL cook things, but takes forever).
Anyone have any ideas?
