Charitable Cause Facepalm...

Just received one of the various "please help by signing this petition" Emails, this one on Beyonce's current trend for using exotic animal skins in her outfits. I sympathize with the cause, but the solicitation included the following line:

"These animals -- if they weren't taken from the wild -- were likely raised in cruel conditions of farms, and potentially even slaughtered alive."

Er, well yes, it's hard to slaughter something that's dead, I think.
