Charitable Cause Facepalm...

Just received one of the various "please help by signing this petition" Emails, this one on Beyonce's current trend for using exotic animal skins in her outfits. I sympathize with the cause, but the solicitation included the following line:

"These animals -- if they weren't taken from the wild -- were likely raised in cruel conditions of farms, and potentially even slaughtered alive."

Er, well yes, it's hard to slaughter something that's dead, I think.

No no no Ryk. They are clearly using necromancy to keep them alive while they slaughter them over and over until they have been slaughtered just enough. Or that appears to be what is implied.

Perhaps they were castigating her for wearing the skins and fur of living animals, tortured by removing said skins.

Or perhaps they'd envisioned something like shearing sheep. Tiger wool.
