This afternoon I finally wrote "FIN" to the first draft of Boundary and sent it off to Eric. In the next few weeks he will butcher^H^H^H^H^H^H^H offer advice and add his own inimitable touches to the prose, and then it gets sent in!

And after this week, my main pressure cooker at work will be over for a few weeks, anyway.

Actually, let me be the first to chime in that Diamonds was actually much better than DK, partly due to the fix-up approach of DK. :) I'm really looking forward to _Boundary_.

Well, I felt Diamonds was TIGHTER than DK for that reason -- it's actually the equivalent of one of DK's sections. I don't think it was overall better than, say, Mirror Image.

Hm, well, let me rephrase, then: I *liked* Diamonds more than DK, and part of the reason was that the writing felt tighter.
