That'd depend on various conditions, such as what kind of secret agent and whether I'm a specialist or generalist (Bond's a generalist, Q is a specialist; specialists are usually support, generalists are the field agents and jacks-of-all-trades), and whether there's any required realism in this or it's purely Bondage, so to speak.

"Sea Wasp" would of course be a candidate -- if I wasn't known by that name already.

"Lensman" would be an attractive candidate, because it means something to me but to those unfamiliar with it might make them think I was a specialist in optics or something.

"Virigar" if I was going to be a generalist with a License to Kill. :)

I would assume that codenames are generally chosen strictly at random, to avoid any chance of the bad guys gleaning clues from the name. So, my alias would be whatever the random-number generator picked.

One I've considered would be "Ultrared"--to connote someone who operates under the radar and, as it were, off the spectrum. (Unfortunately, that LJ user-name was taken by the time I showed up.)

...The combination of that connotation with the username I did go with somehow suggests someone who ought to be slugging it out with Silver Age! Iron Man.
