LJ's current tagline (on their home page) seems self-contradictory. If my "passions and interests" are unique, how could anyone (let alone a "global community of friends") share them?

Your specific combination of passions and interests can be unique, while sharing each and every one of them with other people.

What if you did have one unique interest, and then you told people about it or posted it on your LJ? Someone would probably say "That's interesting" and there you go, no more unique interest.
