The current issue is that LJ has implemented methods for posting stuff automagically from LJ to Twitter and FB.
While this wouldn't seem to be a terrible issue at first glance, the problem is that apparently people can choose to make their own comments published to their Twitter or FB... EVEN WHEN THEY'RE COMMENTING ON A LOCKED POST.
So this provides a way for supposedly locked content to be quoted and posted that's out of the owner's control.
Now, I personally think you shouldn't be posting anything to LJ that you don't want broadcast, but that's just me.
It's nice to know at least one of my friends isn't a "Twitt".
Now, for the important question. "Ah,my Goddess". you really meant that stuff about it being the saddest,? This is important, because I might just go view that series, even though it appears to be broken up into one of those idiotic volume 1 season 1 ...
do you think that is sadder than "Grave of the Fireflies?"
As I said in my post, I was ignoring ones that are unrelieved gloom. Without light you can't see the dark, and the dark looks darkest surrounded by the brightest light of all.
Grave of the Fireflies is just a pure black screen.
Its still a toss up for me which is darker, "Now and Then, Here and There" or "Grave of the Fireflies."
Both of them just seem so corrosive, and without any light they both lose something vital. Though at least "Now and Then" did have some lighter moments that let up from its oppressiveness.
okay dokay. I just took a trip around the local anime stores. which is the one you were refering to: the complete collection, The movies or the seasons 1 and 2? confusing, isn't it. The Rightstuf has a week sale on season 1 and 2. oh, just curious, how many anime DVD's do you own? I'll count mine if you count yours. LOL
Grr. Searching through the listings, the ONLY one that I'm sure is the right choice is The Collector's Edition (1997). The Complete Collection is clearly a lot more than the OVAs, as it shows a runtime total of over 10 hours (600+minutes). The original anime was 5 OVAs, a total runtime of about 160 minutes (2 hours 40 minutes or slightly more than half an hour per OVA).
It appears that the problem is that AnimeEgo's license on the OVAs EXPIRED just this year and either no one's picked it up yet, or they haven't gotten to releasing a new edition yet.

Good for you.
