Taken verbatim from one of the current DoE SBIR solicitation topics:

"The need to reduce risks to workers from potential exposures associated with decontamination and decommissioning activities. The needs to decontaminate and dispose of hundreds of miles of contaminated piping, during both site remediation and D&D activities."

And despite the actual meaning being obvious my head insists on reading this as a belief that playing RPGs will contaminate the area. Which may be true but the contamination's usually corn chips.

Makes perfect sense.

People planning and doing this sort of cleanup are obviously going to be nerds.

Nerds play RPG games, and will probably RPG in a futuristic post apocalyptic setting, giving where they are and what they are doing.

The officials are probably worried about dangerous LARP activities.

Hey miles of corridors and piping, does indicate LARPerific environments.

Not to leave cornchips around. The annoyance of mess. To be wiping up crumbs

Corn chips?

MEME FAIL! It's supposed to be CHEETOS! Besides the obvious sketch-comedy reference, Cheetos are much, much messier.

No kidding.

D&D activities... makes you wonder what's lurking in some of those larger pipes...

"look out! it has initiative! use your vorpal shovel on it!"
