No boom today. Boom tomorrow.

There's always a boom tomorrow.

You know, I miss Susan.

Sure, it might be good for the country, but we'd have four years of Mythbusters with only Tory, Grant, Kari and the interns.

Today, we are going to explore the myth that single-payer health care is more expensive and bureaucratic than the alternative.

Toss them the question "can our nuclear arsenal be converted into Orion Rockets? Even as someone who doesn't like Orion fanaticism, I find that question interesting.

Just don't ask them about Project Plowshare....

As long as they don't try testing the myth that the secret service will jump between a gunman and the president.

Ah, I thought they would test the myth that if you drilled down into a volcano and exploded a nuke. Then all the volcanoes on Earth would erupt.

Goodness talk about timely.

xkcd reminds us that our government already tested the myth that the atmosphere would catch fire if they exploded one.

also love the hugged by nuke :)

Running on a platform of "voting rights for crash test dummies and home-made robots" and "subsidies for demolition companies"?

They would probably dump lots of money into basic math and science education, which sounds like a good thing.

I can hear the pundits now in 2016, "But where's the kaboom, we were promised an Earth shattering kaboom."

Love the show, even though it has destroyed some of the nicest tropes in television.

This has made my day. I can sleep now, knowing that someone, somewhere, has thought up an even geekier idea than the Monster Raving Looney Party.

Two words: Write-in.

What is real?

I'm not convinced that our government has done anything 'real' in twenty years. It's not that their actions don't have real world impact, it's just that the filter between what I experience, and what the geniuses who run our country and my state experience, seems designed to ensure that one or the other perspective is hopelessly skewed.
