Ordered two books from Amazon the same day.

Both considered the same order, as when I was sent the email "Your order has shipped", both books were included.

One arrived today. One did not.

Checked the tracking.

One was sent via UPS.

One was sent by the USPS.

Why would one do this?

Coming from different warehouses, probably.

That was my first thought, as well.

Although, if the book that arrived today is the sequel to the book that hasn't arrived yet, it's possible that they're just fucking with you.

LA (laughing aloud)

My first thought was as others stated, shipped from different locations. But you have tracking - where did each start from? Are they just fuckin' witcha?

Amazon isn't too bright? (I've had them do something similiar before.)

Different suppliers? I have become careful with Amazon, since I usually buy books there, rather than go down to the mall and want free shipping. 3-4 books should qualify me - and then I see no free shipping and [checking more carefully] see 1 book is from an amazon supplier. [exit, try to find the book again, but in stock from amazon]
