Of course. Why would I care? I've gone to multiple places people CLAIM were haunted, and nothing happens in any of them. If there are ghosts, spirits, demons, etc., not one of them has the guts to bother me -- I dare them to even try.

I think a sufficiently determined assassin generally wins against any non life-devouring defence. Also, somebody that nasty is quite capable of expressing their frustration via secondary targets. That scenario is definitely a no-way for me.

Though I know there is a perfectly sound biological reason for them. I have experienced night terrors, and violent out of body experiences. So for my psychological health, no.

No, unless I really really needed it. First, it would be a magnet for human nutters and scammers. Secondly, I dislike to dwell on vileness, and it's implicit in the scenario that some loudmouth would be reminding me about it all the time. Under that sort of bombardment, presently the house would begin to do so as well. That would be quite enough haunting for my tastes.

Most of all, I should be almost certain that the rent-free status was itself part of some morbid publicity stunt, and that I could expect unsavoury surprises of malicious and/or ingenious nature. That might actually go either way - but I'd have to be in a really perverse and ghost-hunty humour, to invest the effort to turn the tables around. Otherwise, living on the ends of my nerves all the time simply wouldn't be worth any likely gain.
