Others have clarified for me that I should have said "The Cosmic All". They did say "place", and all possible spacetime is THE place that has everything!

By what possible definition does the entire planet Earth count as "one place"?

By the definition that there are an almost infinite number of other planets, stars, asteroids, all of which would be places, and you can say "I'm going to Earth" just as easily as "I'm going to the corner store". There was no definition of the SIZE of the place to be haunted. I could have as easily said "My wife's right shoe" or "the inner orbital of a hydrogen atom".

Agreed; one should haunt an entire campus. How this works if the grounds are discontinuous I don't know.

Just a thought- I've noticed that you tend to answer things literally instead of in the spirit of the question. So, considering the essence of the idea and not the technicality...

I answer the question that's asked. If someone wants a more specific concept addressed, they should be more specific on the question. It also amuses me to give the answers that other people aren't; I was a psych major, one of my degrees was in psych, and looking at problems a different way is something I try to do when they're presented to me.

In the spirit of the idea... what exactly do you define as "place"? In various ghost stories, there are ghosts that haunt particular ROOMS, others that cover entire buildings, others that haunt campuses, others seen "on the Moor", where "the moor" is fricking HUGE, and others that consider "place" to be "wherever some particular schmuck happens to be".

So the "spirit" of the question (pardon the pun) isn't very clear, either.
