Darell K. Sweet, RIP

As announced here on Tor.com, Darell K. Sweet is dead. I know my wife (an artist herself) didn't care much for his work, but I associate his covers with some of my favorite books. A salute to Darell and a farewell.

I thought his work was a bit cliche, to be frank. Still, lovely work. He will be missed.

I never liked how he did profiles, but he has some lovely stuff.

I got to meet him at World Fantasy 2010, when I was there to work the art show. He was a nice guy. I was looking forward to seeing him again at Worldcon in 2013.
