Points for using the word interobang. But I think the author may mean Vancouver, not Victoria (there is such a place, north of Port Angeles, but it's pretty forgettable).

And at episode two, we're left on a cliffhanger. I hope the author finishes the story.

Flowers and sad songs and stuffed animals and crap were for other people.

I can think of at least one excellent and obvious reason that Calvin wouldn't regard stuffed animals as an appropriate funerary offering.
