Points for using the word interobang. But I think the author may mean Vancouver, not Victoria (there is such a place, north of Port Angeles, but it's pretty forgettable).

And at episode two, we're left on a cliffhanger. I hope the author finishes the story.

Victoria is the capital of BC, after all. And Vancouver is one of the few largest cities in Canada, while this city is described as "little", which Victoria is, as cities go.
