I hadn't expected such an outpouring of sympathy. Thanks. I'd just posted that as a whinge and rant, partly to deal with it. I appreciate all of the positive and supportive messages. :)

And yes, hearing that someone bought one of my books is always good news, as are all the other types of ego-boo, like new reviews posted to Amazon and other public locales, etc. However, everyone keep fingers crossed on BIGGER good news, i.e., that the sample chapters and outline will be accepted by Jim Baen and I'll have a new solo novel on the way.

Good luck, there. It'll just give Jim another claim to more of my budget than he already gets. :D I can guarantee that I'll buy it when it comes out as you're on my "Must Buy" short list.
