I'm actually kind of hopeful about this. The films and their receptions will be as mixed as the Prequels no matter what, because people have inflated Star Wars to mythic status, and will be expecting nothing less than three ultra-epic cinema masterpieces. And that's not mentioning all the people who will be crushingly disappointed that the book storyline they wanted wasn't made. (And seeing the number of comments clamouring for the 'Thrawn trilogy', I'll just jump that one up my reading list)
Disney has the skills, the money, the talent and the savvy to make worthy successor films. Here's hoping they do.
