... will be put up this week, one on Monday, one Wednesday, and one Friday, to celebrate the official release of the book.

These three chapters include the sequence which my beta-readers and I referred to as "CSI: Zarathanton".

Coincidentally, I just finished Phoenix Rising last night in a bout of insomnia that tends to come with the onset of a cold. (We've been getting the monthly Baen bundles for years now) Very well done. You have reaffirmed your status as one of the authors who'll get me to pick up a book based on name alone, as I know you'll spin a good story. I love the epic feel of both this book and GCA, and you have a knack for creating characters that I'd love a chance too meet (as well as really scary ones, but great heroes need epic villains after all). I really hope that you'll get to tell enough stories of Zarathanton to tie in the Jason Wood stories. I certainly noticed various details that would have given away the connection even if you hadn't explicitly mentioned that they're in the same universe. I don't know which I want to read more - a GCA sequel or the sequel to Phoenix Rising, but hopefully both will see print.

D'oh, I should have caught the name thing - I blame commenting after way too little sleep. Thanks for the info on what's been written & hopefully awaiting. I'll certainly talk up Phoenix Rising to my circle of friends who'd enjoy it to try and improve the chances of seeing future books. :)
