does this dorsal spine arrangement make my tail look fat?

I loves me some Godzilla... the Sellwood Rose Moreland theater used to show triple creature feature matinees on Saturdays when I was a kid, so I saw Big G on a movie screen without commercial interruptions. *first run* sometimes.

I even own an original Bob Eggleston Godzilla painting.. a thing of beauty as he stomps downtown Portland. (the best part, one of the building he is destroying I used to work in.. total win!) Skronk!

Prints are always good too... I had gotten a bit of money and I really wanted my own Godzilla picture, to go with all the other G related stuff, and he was affordable that day. I treasure it.

Oh yeah. Go Gojira!

I agree that the "roar" is unique. If you were running an RPG and played it as a sound effect all the players would need to change their underwear. Well, except the ones who've never watched any of the movies. :-)

Sort of like using the phrase "As you wish, so be it." when several of the players have recently read "The Traveller in Black". *innocent look*

Well, if Gojira is on your side, yeah. But coming out of the blue, my money is on the other reaction. :-)

No kidding! There's just something about that drawn-out 'gronking' roar that sums up giant monsters with one sound. My dad also introduced me to Gojira - along with other monster movies - and did it by encouraging me to root for the monsters. [My mom was all 'you'll scare the girl' - but it's pretty hard to be scared when you're cheering for the monster.]

You should have grown up around Boston. Then you'd have had Creature Double Feature every Saturday afternoon.
