I tried from work again, and for me it fails at home, at work, and on my phone over 4g, with 404s saying "This site is hosted by HostGator!" and advertising their services. This should be three different DNSes, all NYC-based, if that's your old host.
Try a tracert. Odds are that there's a break in one of the links between your area and where ever the site is hosted.
Also, first thing to try before reporting an outage is to try http://isup.me
If *that* says a site is down, then it likely is. But if it says a site is up and you can't connect, then the problem is a connectivity issue with your ISP or even region.
I'm getting a clean 404 error, not an unresponsive site, so I don't think this is a network link being down, I think this is a failure of a DNS change to finish propagating.
That said, isup says it's up and tracert returns on errors.
