Going to Amazon to check on availability of the new Doctor Who TV series in DVD, I came across the following note on its availability:

Availability: This title will be released on December 31, 1969. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives.

Only the Doctor would announce that his future arrival would be in the past.

I trust that you realize that's the result of a Unix datestamp of -1... probably a placeholder for the real date.

Which makes me wonder if it started out as a mistake and they decided to keep it.

And it'll be region 1! I guess I won't have to use one of my linux boxes to watch the DVD then ;-)

So the question is... Do you have to give them the address of where you lived during that date? If so, then are those of us that are younger and weren't alive at the time screwed out of ordering it? *sigh*
