having been to a lot of motocycle races as a small proto human, when a bike is on fire, its not a comfy ride. But it is cool to watch.

I really enjoyed Ghost Rider, but felt it could have been much better. Blaze was just a little too out there, the comic relief a little too obvious. The pieces with Ghost Rider were great, but in the end I really didn't find myself connecting with anyone in the movie.

Given the director's chair, I would have cut the entire origin sequence to a dream flashback, and added a line where Mephistopheles tells Blaze that Blaze will "wander the Earth until I have need of you." Make the background more mysterious. Have a seen where he's with his accountant, confirming a large charity gift to a cancer research fund. Then, in Act 3, have Blaze confront Mephistopheles with the details of their contract. I cut 90% of the really bad love story, get rid of Blaze's goofiness, and make this a dark movie about a man coming to literally face his demons. This is a guy doomed to live and touched by the infernal.

OK, here's my new ending. After the battle with Blackheart, Mephistopheles appears for the contract. Blaze confronts him about the details of their contract. Mephistopheles says "I promised to cure him, that's all. I kept my word." Blaze sags, steps back into the shadows, and as Ghost Rider burns the contract. "I promised to find this. That's all. Go to Hell"

I kill the girlfriend.

My favorite Nick Cage films? Valley Girl or Leaving Las Vegas

I know, but if there's one character who shouldn't be done in a light-hearted way, it's Ghost Rider.

Heroes For Hire might be a good, lighter, superhero flick.
