David G. Hartwell, long-standing editor at Tor and fixture at many conventions as a bookseller and panelist, is now no longer with us.
My sympathies to all his friends and especially his family.
While most of my interactions with David were fairly casual, he was one of those who read Polychrome and considered it for a long time. The fact he took that long to reject it was actually encouraging, and one of the factors that led to me publishing Poly myself.
He will be missed.
