On a lighter note...

seawaspPeople who know me ALSO know that I am a big Gojira (Godzilla) fan. Well, let me take the opportunity to urge that, in addition to buying my own book, people should trot over to Amazon and buy Godzilla vs. Megaguirus and Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah - Giant Monsters All-Out Attack. The first one is the best of the New Gojira movies, in my opinion (those since Destoroyah, and possibly better than any of those since the original, in some ways), and the second is... creepy, but good. (see my reviews on Amazon)
I've also recently acquired the Doctor Who: Key to Time box set and the Babylon 5 first season. I'd forgotten how much FUN Tom Baker could be in that role. And I love Bab5 Season 1 -- I may be one of the only people who preferred Commander Sinclair to Commander Sheridan, although I'll admit that the Man on a White Horse approach wouldn't have worked as well for Sinclair's character, which was much more a man doing a job than a Hero, which was what Sheridan was.
In addition, I'm collecting Saint Seiya (do NOT, repeat, NOT, get the hacked dub version "Knights of the Zodiac" -- my ears, they BLEED). The Saint Seiya DVDs are quite good, and as this was the series which got me INTO anime, it's got a lot of fond memories with it.
