I generally don't read preview chapters of any description. If I'm going to start reading something, I like to have the whole thing handy in case I want to keep reading.

I feel similar, I almost never read any excerpts of anything. I know technically it's just 'starting early' but it feels like spoilers to me.

I'm avoiding them because I want to read the whole book at once.

I appreciate the snippets because i gobble books, and this forces me to read more slowly. Then i get the book and gabble it down again.

I do sometimes. If it wasn't here I wouldn't at all until the book became available.
