Quick Trips and Such...

Earlier this week I had to do a quick trip-and-presentation in Washington. Despite some minor hitches (the worst being that apparently the TSA people who searched my stuff accidentally turned on my razor when they put it back in, meaning that it was totally drained when I went to use it), the presentation went off well.
While there, I discovered the most WONDERFUL Mexican restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. It's called "Andale" and I had two appetizers (Guacamole and a Salsa Sampler -- three salsas, all excellent, though I think the Chipotle was best) served with fresh-made tortilla chips of marvellous thinness and flavor, an entree of blue-corn battered calamari with a salsalike dipping sauce, and a totally evil flourless chocolate cake with raspberry and cream sauce. If I ever get to bring the family to Washington we must eat there.
Woke up this morning with the last elements I needed to actually write the Elemental Warriors trilogy. There was something missing and I couldn't figure it out, and now I know what it is and how it all works out. As usual, it revolves around Khoros and his manipulations. "All that has transpired here has done so according to my design. You knew that was coming."

I thought the point of his design is that they _don't_ realize it's coming ... until it's too late.
