Ad Campaigns that Make You Wonder...

... exactly what the advertisers want you to think.

Captain Morgan Rum has a current campaign with the tagline "Got a little Captain in you?" One of the billboards for it features a bunch of soccer players standing before a goal, with someone obviously about to try to kick through them. All of the players but one are shielding their groins. One of them is, naturally, standing in the Captain's pose -- straight up, one leg resting on an imaginary chest of treasure.

So... what this says to me is "Captain Morgan: It'll make you forget to protect your balls."

That's still better than the ad campaigns that seem to be saying, "Our product--the favorite X of imbeciles everywhere," or "Product X--if you're a complete tool/loser, you'll love it!"

would have been just appalled at that message. He was very good at protecting his balls, as well as covering his arse.

Although he was (usually) covered by letters of marque, he usually operated far beyond the scope of his orders and was no more than a pirate. Fortunately for him, the English usually figured that any dirt done to a Spaniard was a good thing.

There is actually a trick to prevent the shrivling of your "unit" when it takes trauma... you need to land some blows (Like you were slapping a person on the back) to the area of the kidneys and things will loosen up and the pain with be the only thing you have to deal with
