San Diego, anyone?

Work will be sending me to San Diego later this month (the 20th) for a couple days. Any of y'all in that area? I'll of course be working during the regular day hours, but might be able to say "hi" in the evenings to someone.

... I'm supposed to attend a sort of seminar/forum on licensing and compliance issues on UID (not IUD) for military use, as this is relevant to one of our major current projects.

I will arrive in SD sometime on the evening of the 20th and I leave late morning/noonish on the 23rd. The classes run, IIRC, for the usual daytime hours (9-5) on the 21st and 22nd.

Unfortunately, I won't be out until there the following week. While the concept of UID sounds worthwhile, I'm glad that I don't need to implement it in my technology.

No, I can't send them to Joe until they've got some official forthcoming publication status, which they don't yet.

I'm also going to Amazon the first chapter of Demons. Even though Toni rejected it, I'll get that one published someday, even if I have to do it myself through LWE's street performer protocol.
