First, I must add something I forgot to my I-Con report: one of my old "anime night" regulars showed up, and bought my book too. A big HELLO and THANKS (in case she's reading) to Heather!!

Second: On a sadder note, Arnold Bailey, who has been the force behind Baen Books' online presence for years, is extremely ill. Any good wishes will be appreciated.

I heard about Arnold and think it's devastating to both his real and Baen Families. I just hope he recovers soon.

I think it takes a lot of guts for a mainstream publisher to experiment with what baen is doing. I respect that. I hope he gets better.

... So far appears to be slowly recovering. I guess they're looking at at least 3 weeks time, though. And, apparently, all from trying to rake up leaves. (And people wonder why I avoid that kind of thing.)
